Syeda Rezia Memorial Hospital

1

The Syeda Rezia Memorial Hospital is built in the center of the city of Sirajganj, which is located in Northern Bangladesh and is connected to eighteen northern districts by the world-famous Bangabandhu Bridge. It is approximately a 3.5 hour drive away from Bangladesh’s capital city, Dhaka.  The hospital, which is five stories and covers 84,000 sq ft, can accommodate 250 to 300 beds and at least 8 resident doctors. The hospital is named after the late mother of Dr. Mannan. The type of services of this hospital are yet to be determined.

Sirajganj is the ideal location for the hospital because of its growing population and easy access to other cities. In addition, the demand for integrated health care is growing, especially because Bangladesh is expected to develop into a middle-income country within the next 10-12 years. The hospital plans to provide excellent and affordable service to the middle-class, as well as to serve the poor at a relatively low cost.
